Sisterly Love

Another home session with one of our favorite clients! Brynn, Abbie and Maddie do such a wonderful job in front of the camera and now, their new puppy Jojo adds to their adorable pictures. The occasion for this session included a one year birthday, a four year birthday and all three sisters with their new puppy!

These girls are always a lot of fun and this time was no exception. It was great to be able to go outside with them, they have a fantastic backyard! Can't wait for this summer for another session with these girls.

Family Time

My aunt and uncle asked me to take some family shots for them. It was great! It is usually harder to photograph people that you know but this went wonderfully. My cousins, Jason and Matthew, are all grown up... as much as two teenage boys can be. They definitely knew how to make each other laugh. I really enjoyed photographing family members for the first time and I hope to do more someday! The sun went down a little earlier than anticipated but we were still able to get some fun indoor shots! Here are some of my favorites.

Becky & Joe's Wedding

Becky and Joe had a beautiful wedding on April 10, 2010 in Coon Rapids, MN. Becky and Joe have a beautiful little girl that served as their flower girl as well as entertainment on the dance floor! Although just two years old, she stayed up late and danced way past her bedtime! Their wedding party was tons of fun all throughout the day as well!

A home-style dinner set off the evening followed by toasts, a bridal party electric slide and a dance floor filled with all ages! It was an exceptionally sunny day for a Minnesota spring Saturday and the evening air was crisp with lots of stars in the sky.

Becky and Joe were surrounded by loved ones all day long during their day, and we feel very fortunate to have been able to capture those moments! Thank you so much for allowing us to photograph your wedding day!

Pretty Presley

I was referred by a friend of mine (see Tis the Season) to one of her co-workers. I love referrals! I photographed Presley for her three  year old portraits last weekend--what a doll! She was a little shy at first but once I asked her to show me her bedroom she really opened up. She was pretty in her pink bedroom and colorful striped dress. Once we were done with her bedroom and playroom, we went outside and man can this active three year old run! She loved running from one end of the yard into her mom's arms! It was a beautiful sunny, but chilly, day. I really enjoyed spending the time with Presley and her mom! Here are some favorites!

Sweet Sisters

We had our first at-home session last weekend! It was great! Photographing these girls is always so awesome and now having the pleasure to do a session in their home was even better! We captured such wonderful expressions from both girls and it was such a great experience.

It was Brynn's six year portraits and Maddie's nine month portraits. Their middle sister Abby went with dad for a treat and quality time as we photographed her sisters at their house. Besides these girls being absolutely adorable, they LOVE the camera! It went perfectly and we cannot wait until April to photograph all three girls!

Steppin' On The Gas!

Finding the silver lining in sticky situations can sometimes be tough. Today has officially ended any "conflict of interest" we may have had with our, now former, employer. Before we had to hold off on really pushing through full force with our cliental and any outreach for advertising but now we are so ready to get things going! We already have an appointment tomorrow morning! Although it was difficult news to hear that our studio was closing, it didn't us very long to see the good things that come from this. We are really excited about this and can't wait to get more clients and build some new connections.

Tis the Season

Christmas time is here which means lots of children and families to photograph! Outside of the studio I got to photograph Miss Ava Joy at her home along with her mother, whom I have known for ten year (crazy), and their dog Lily. Ava is one of the smartest one year olds I have ever met-- and I have met a lot! She is absolultey beautiful and I had so much fun letting her show me her house, her puppy, dancing to Taylor Swift (and sing!) in her bedroom. Here are some of my favorites! (and she loooved her Elmo)
